I saw this topstitching on a pair of capris and substituted it for the tacking on the welts.

I bought the cotton poplin for this Alma from Fabrika in Savannah, Ga., while on vacation this August. At $18/yard, it was more than I've been spending lately, but I finally decided it was worth the splurge.

The butt on the Thurlows looks a little baggy in this picture, but it's actually the best fitting pair I've made yet. I added almost 2 inches to the length of this Alma. (Mikey asks me if my others are too short all the time). I wonder if I should have flared the hips more; it's a tiny bit snug there.
